Whys Everyone So Upset?

Why is everyone so upset right now? We just had a bye week and lost to the #11 Virginia Tech Hokies who got lucky on two special teams plays where the officials missed a block in the back penalty on both. We're sitting 7-2 right now (if you include wins against Central Michigan, Duke, and South Carolina), we have the #3 Boston College Eagles coming into Death Valley in a few weeks where Clemson will probably be the favorite, and we have a good but not great Wake Forest team coming into Death Valley. The only game I'm scared of is playing at Maryland. The Fridge has kind of had Tommy Bowden's number over the past few years and they're not a bad team at all this year. Either way, the Clemson supporters have spoken. If Tommy Bowden wins at least 9 games, 50% of the fans say he deserves to come back. I hope Clemson Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips takes noticed of this.

By the way, we will score more than 63 points this coming Saturday against Central Michigan. If you think 63 is a lot, it's not ...... Tommy Bowden and Charlie Whitehurst put 63 points up at South Carolina in 2003. Go Tommy! Go Tigers'!

TBIG, how can you say we'll score 63 with that terrible offensive line.

SSIG, how can you say if we score 63 it will be close. We have the top ranked pass defense and eighth ranked total defense in the nation. The Chippewas won't put up fifty something points with their special teams (spotting the defense 13 points to work with.)

Are you crazy? 9-3 is NOT satisfactory with players like Davis, Spiller, Kelly, Ford, and Harper playing well. How can you people stand for this! I certainly can't. You include losses to GTech and VTech in this 9-3. It's ridiculous. Why don't you just go hunt down Larry Shyatt to coach our football. Just like I said on TigerNet. More fans satisfied with mediocrity. We should be 11-1. And we are going to lose to SoCar. I'm sorry. Let's come out of LaLa Land here and face facts people.

How can you stand for anything less than undefeated every year! There is no reason why Clemson should ever loose a game- Period! OP should be fired too, because we should never loose a game of bball either. Go Taters!

The more I read this rag, I realize that you've got to be making this as a huge joke right? I mean, no one can be this naive.

Hey seigler,

You have any brain surgeries scheduled for tomorrow?

Hey tiga48,

If Tommy wants to save his job, he's got to get a job at a school like mine. What he's doing in Clemson would go over well in Columbia. Now it's too late for my job. I got it first, but Temple or Syracuse or something like that might be good.

unranked and 4-2 wouldn't go over well in Cola. 6-1, #6 in the BCS and the AP does, however. Face it, Clemson will never be more than slightly better than average- with or without Tammy.

so if Clemson is never more than "slightly better than average", where does that put USC? aside from the win USC got last year, i do believe that there were 4 losses in a row prior. am i correct? yeah i thought i was. USC fans think that since they win a few, think they are the best in the country. do it year after year instead of taking the ass-beatings as USC has become so good at doing...year after year!

thanks for the link to the article. i liked the points it made and look forward to seeing what the Tigers can do this weekend. a buddy said "if we don't win by 24 or more, its a loss" which i'm not sure i agree with, but i can see his point. definately looking for improvements over anything. GO TIGERS!
